Onenness Pentacostal Cult ?
please don't mistake me, i am not oneness pentacostal or
considering to join one .. no i am not. i am clear with my ideology on
trinity and baptism. but very often this cult mess around with
Christians nowday all over the world with their new found logic on
trinity or more to be said as unitary.
Do Oneness pentacostal believe in Trinity?
answer : yes, but not the version of trinity that is introduce by
tertulian in the council of nicea when endorsing nicene creed.
They believe, Jesus( Jehovah Shua) who was the Father in the old
testament, appear as perfect Human being in the new testament and
appear again with disciple on the day of the pentecost in the form of
the Spirit whch we identify as the Holy Spirit. to them is one and the
same person when it is nothing wrong to call the Holy Spirit or the
father, and the Son to be Jesus ( Jehovah Shua =God is my salvation)
what i don't agree: They believe Jesus was never a man in the old
testament, means only in the new testament he took the form of a man.
i disagree: 1. We are Created in God's own image ( genesis 1:26)
means there is form of man image in God.. which i believe is Christ
Jesus.
2. The person that Appears to Enoch Abaraham, and
other prohphets personally.. does have an image of a man, because God
walk with them.
3. Moses on the Cleft of the Rocks, when the Glory
of the LORD just pass him.
4. the fourth person in the fire with shadrach,
meshach and abednego.
and the list just go on and on ...
Why i say the form of the man in the OLD testament to be Christ, this
is a bit bias because the scripture i quote is from the new testament
:D
1 timothy 2:5 :
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus;
now the question is ? is the mediator God ? Yes ..
is he man ? the verse clearly state there MAN CHRIST JESUS.
certainly: some more we bear the image of Christ in us .. the Human
image was given by Christ in the creation itself. undenyable.
now Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, are they DISTINCT person ? or
one and the same ?
deuteronomy 6:4 in hebrew:
Shema yisrael, Adonai elahihu adonai yechad. ( remember not
Yacheed)
Yechad = similiar one cluster of grapes, whereas yacheed is number 1.
Disctinct ? you should know by now. everytime when they quote English
bible where God is mention to be one, bring them back to hebrew it's
Yechad not Yacheed.
My understanding of the trinity :
God is one and the same person who played Disctinctive ROLE in our
Salvation. on what we understand as Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is alone God, no one besides him, and when we get to heaven,
there is only going to be Jesus sitting on the Throne, as will lead by
Jesus to worship God.
1 corinthians 15:28 : And when all things shall be subdued unto him,
then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things
under him, that God may be all in all.
So that God will be All in All... He will be God and God that lead
to God and God that in the people. because God will be all in all. :)
anyway i am not that theologian to put everything into final theory.
i am open for people to comment ... please help me if i am wrong with
my trinity concept ?
please ...

In seeking God we are drawn to find some being greater and more perfect in quality than any human being. In the world around us we see other people that may in some small way manifest a deeper, purer love or greater wisdom than ourselves; and although they may be great examples for us to live by we perceive that the perfection of God’s love and wisdom must be greater still. It is like climbing in an area of hills and mountains. Every time we reach the summit of one small hill, another that is higher still comes into view. As we climb and climb, and hills change to mountains we are led on and on - upwards towards the highest peak. And when we begin to approach that, we begin to realise that there can only be ONE highest peak - just as when in our search for God we realise there can be only ONE highest source of all that is best in creation and human life.
Many world religions such as Judaism and Islam have taught that God is ONE but there have been other religions who have presented God has having many different faces all derived from one most perfect God. In Hindu tradition for example, if we were to ask the question - “Which is true: is there one God or are there many Gods?” - the answer would be that both statements are true. One way to understand this is to recognise that although we see God as perfectly ONE we experience God in many ways - for example as a counsellor we can confide in, as a leader we wish to follow, as a father figure that loves us, or as a warrior that fights spiritual battles on our behalf.
Thinking about God in this way leads us to wonder whether God is just simply ONE or whether there are a number of key attributes needed to make up this ONENESS. But at this point we need to look at ourselves to get some insight into this question.
Imagine that you want to paint a picture - or to put it more strongly - you would love to paint a picture. But your desire to paint on its own won’t ever produce a painting. You need to know how to paint and to have the right tools available, if you are to achieve anything. Your love must wrap itself around your knowledge or wisdom if you are to achieve your aim. And then together your love to paint and your wisdom as to how to do it combines beautifully in activity, and a painting is produced.
Whether we are aware of it or not everything we do follows this pattern of motivation (love), know-how (wisdom) and resulting product (activity).
And right near the beginning of the Bible it says that “God created man in his own image…”.
If we put these thoughts together we can begin to see that God is ONE but that this ONENESS is made up of Love, Wisdom and Activity. The Divine nature is thus both ONE and THREEFOLD in nature.
So we can perhaps see that the Christian idea of the Creator God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit can also be understood in terms of the Love (Father), Wisdom (Son) and Activity (Holy Spirit) of the ONE personal GOD.
Oneness Pentecostals believe in the trinity as much as Mormons do. Translation: they don't. They use similar language in order to "blend" in or, in some cases, to deceive people into thinking that they are truly Christian. Hank Hanegraaff (Host of the Bible Answer Man radio program) says it really well in this way: God exists in 1 what and 3 who's. The "what" is God (Essence, nature, etc) and the "who" are the different individual persons that comprise the one God. I beg you to read my blog entry about this matter. This is a serious issue. Getting this wrong, we're not just wrong, but we'll end up not being saved because we didn't believe in Christ as He revealed Himself to us in Scripture.
God is no more three persons than I am! I too am a son, I too have a spirit, and I too am a father. Does that make me three persons? Certainly not... just three roles in life. But ask me what me name is and I'll say Daniel, not son, or father or Mechanical Engineer.
As for OT manifestations of God... well God knew what His image would be in Jesus way before His flesh was born. Besides, how would you explain the physical appearance of the burning bush... the pillar of fire, or even the donkey? Remember, He is sovereign. He can manifest Himself anyway He prefers.
