Secular Music; Right or wrong ~ Filtered Harmonies

It been like 3days after such a sermon that really got me thinking till i can't sleep all nite thinking about it. How My Jesus is really Misrepresentated and How they really take advantage in the bible to approve all that they are doing.

I WANT TO MAKE MYSELF CLEAR :

1. I AM NOT AGAINST SECULAR MUSIC.
2. I LISTEN TO SECULAR MUSIC.
3. I DON'T THINK IT IS WRONG TO LISTEN TO SECULAR MUSIC.

Then why this blog? The thing that got my attention was the way Bible is misrepresentated. The preacher merely just copy pasting the sermon; ' we are convertionist' and 'evanglism in the marketplace' by Reverend Kong Hee from City Harvest Singapore. I listen to that sermons dozen and dozen of times. The thing is, People can be charismatic when they preach. But PLEASE DO NOT ABUSE THE WORD OF GOD.

Is everything God Created is Good ? the preacher quote John 1:3 Which part of the verse approve it to be good ? Well please read the whole passage John 1:5 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it.

God made it Clear, Everything that God Created was good and perfect untill the fall. When Man fall, now we live in fallen world that full of sin. Thus Evil sneak in and everything could possibly dangerous if WE ABUSE IT.

question to think about :
1. IF GOD CREATED EVERYTHING TO BE GOOD... then drugs like marijuana and heroin is good. Thus consuming them and using them it's a praise unto God. Try imagine high on marijuana and singing praise God .. how ridiculous that could be.

2. IF GOD CREATED EVERYTHING TO BE GOOD.. then Homosexuality is good, because the act of man accepting another man's beauty is praise Unto God.

look at what the bible says:
Romans 1:18-32
18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

The whole in the context say it all. Men perversing the truth and then last verse says Approve of those who practice them. This is the kind of generations that we are in.

The bible say many in (2timothy 4:3-4) 3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

So we Chrisitian need to be very careful. at First people will take bible verse to approve anything they like. Then they will go a step further approving things that unrighteous. SO Discerment is needed here.

On the part he mention about stumbling others:
he quote Romans 14

but my question is, which part of the Romans 14:15 that he doesn't understand so plain and so clear.

Romans 14:15 If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died.

but also look Romans 14:16 Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil.

Secular music is neither evil nor Good. Bible is silent on this matter. Thus Do not preach thing that is not relevant. If you may think secular music is ok, fine go head with it. If you think it is wrong the live on with it. Secular music is all base on personal conviction. it is not a matter to be preach in the pulpit. What is not essentially biblical it is not essentially theology. when it is not biblical then it is not matter to be preach.

Finally. Do note Get me wrong, what i am trying to say, i love secular music, i listen to them, i keep tonnes of tonnes of MTV clip, u'll be suprised by my hardisk content but i don't go around preaching Secular music is good. Neither i make stage show to approve what i am doing. I just don't want to stumble brothers who are weak on this area. This is what romans 14:15 is talking about it. We don't have to win arguement to prove it's ok to listen to world music. we just silently disagree to what people think. Neither we have the right to change their mindset. This is how we are suppose to walk in love and care for each other as Christians.

well i sincerely know that this is a very offending Blog i ever did, for those who are offended i am really sorry, i seriously need to stand of Jesus, i will not buy in when Jesus is misrepresentated.

JOHN 8:12When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

LIGHT AND DARKNESS can't be mixed together. In the abesence of LIGHT, darkness appear and in the presence of light darkness disappear. What is true in the natural is also true in the spiritual. When Jesus use this illustration that He is the light and those who follow him will never walk in darkness, I bet he wasn't joking and he really meant it. The Question is, are we really in the LIGHT ?, the answer is YES. But it seem that we are still living in Sin and our lifestyle though improve a bit, but sin is not absent in our life. What's wrong ? we shouldn't be in darkness at all what happen ? If we catch the concept correct then we know what it means. Another verse to point out to you is 1 John 3:6 (No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.). So do we really know Jesus ? are we stil living in Sin ? I know how this is really bombarding your mind now.

Let me illustrate what was bothering me and how i am really illuminated.

When some one in an dark room, all he is is darkness. the Darkness is all around him. but If the light is turn on, The darkness disappear totally. The thing is he is still in the same place not moving anywhere, but darkness disappear of him. HOW ? any of his effort ? NO, The light that was emitted makes the Darkness Dissappear. But the Question is, is he still in darkness ? no!! The light was on so now he is in the LIGHT. so where is darkness? it has dissappear from the room. can the Darkness be back in him by him doing nothing? NO!!, Can the Darkness be back ? YeS, only when he turn off the light. WHAT IS TRUE IN THE NATURAL ALSO TRUE IN THE SPIRITUAL!!

When we are in Christ Jesus, by doing nothing, Except for inviting Jesus to come in, we Bring LIGHT into our spirit AND DARKNESS DISSAPPEAR Totally!! but once we decided to leave out Christ from out life, then ONLY Darkness come back into our life ( means to say Renouncing JESUS). Same goes with the sinning part, we are not living in SIN from the day JESUS walks into our life. By Jesus entering into our life all our sin, past,present and Future Sin are once for all forgiven. We were MADE perfect from the day we believe in JESUS. ( well i am not promoting Antinomianism please dun get me wrong, i am STANDING FOR THE TRUTH OF JESUS). Well if want to ask me, " we can continue live in sin? " the answer is in whole chapter dedicated by paul in the book romans, PLEASE READ THIS Romans 6

That is not what i want to talk about here, i want to STAND for the truth of FREEDOM in CHRIST JESUS, the moment people come to believe that they are in light, and DARKNESS can't overule them anymore, DARKNESS flee instantneously. THIS is the TRUTH. Righteousness is not a reward base on the effort, IT's GOD's FREE GIFT to all mankind, so THAT MAN can live in peace with GOD.

Jesus Said in John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Jesus is Clear on what he is saying. We may have failed to understand the truth. We can't live in the concocted truth, for it can't set you free, only the whole truth of Jesus Christ has the whole power to set anyone free.

From LONELY to a LEADER

John 4:1-42

small review of the story; Jesus went to samaria all alone, he was near the well where a lonely samaritan lady pass by. He ask for water, then later minister to her. After hearing from Jesus, she preached and she brought many samaritan to Christ. And Through the appointment with a lonely lady, Jesus manage to preach to a city of samaria about the Good New.

Why i say LONELY...
careful look at verse 6, " It was about the sixth hour." which can be said it is a noon time. Normally people draw water from well during the morning where everyone is rushing to have the clear water for the day. But this woman was coming in the noon time where no one would be around, which can be said that she COULD be excomunicated by the society.
looking at her lifestyle with five husband, shows that she been living immoral lifestlye that wouldn't win the public's attention. More to be said she would be rejected by the public because of the moral standard they are living in.
And for the FACT, she change for five husband clear state that she is rejected for more than 4 times. And the current one that she living with is also not sure that is really sincerely the husband or not; because she said she have no husband. there she stand LONELY, both public and personally lonely. Exile from real humanity, broken and empty, thirsty for real love and tired that one could real pour the real love.

Appointment With JESUS...
There stand Jesus by the well, most probably she might think that this stranger have nothing to offer her, so just better avoid him. but Jesus started a converstation by saying " Will you give me a drink?",in verse 7. and she thought that he doesn't know anything about her, so stated that she is a samaritan and he is a jew. It seem that, she believe he really have nothing to do for her, and think that she is wasting his time. And Jesus replied in verse 10,"If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water." Jesus straight to the point, telling her what she really need in her life. But she was sceptical about what Jesus said, so keep asking in details making a sacarstic remarks, like "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?", from here, she really doubt about what Jesus could do. Then Jesus went in real direct in verse 14, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." With this word, she began to challenge Jesus in a sacarstic tone saying,"Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water." So Jesus dealt with her real problem, Jesus ask her to bring her husband, letting her know that he knows everything that she is doing. Now she is broken to the ground. Jesus shared the Good news of his salvation to her down till verse 26.

To a LEADER....

verse 28(Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people,). Here you can see that she left her jar at the place, abadoning the mision of her coming to the well, and set forth to preach the good news about Jesus. She is not afraid of the public discrimination anymore. She is so proud that a prophet would encounter her more than anybody else in the town. She find a new meaning in LOVE, to know that God really care that He would make it a point to visit her and her life. With just one small Chat with Jesus, she set forth to preach the Gospel. No bible school training, no evanglical theory, no healing crusade, just one testimony of a excommunicatee. She is not ashamed of her lifestyle anymore though she is an adulterer, in verse 29 she claimed "Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?", she is not ashamed to tell the public about her 5 husband and she is so glad about the life that have been changed. She is so proud about Jesus coming to her and preach. in verse 39(Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony, "He told me everything I ever did.") what can be seen is, a lot people believe in Jesus even before they saw him. Just her testimony alone is enough to convince people about Jesus even before Jesus himself come to preach to them. Bear in mind she is not Reverend H.Kong or Benny Hinn dynamic speakers, she is the one the whole town excommunicate, but now people believe in Jesus through her testimony. this is the point of being leader. she manage to convince many samaritan about Jesus, just by testimony.

Lesson to learn:

1. No matter how lonely we could be, God is still able to Change us and make us wholly HOLY.
2. No matter how gross the sin we may commit, God is able to make the sinful life of ours into an oppurtunity to glorify God and His Kingdom.
3. We are only lonely when we fail to appriciate people around us.
4. All of us can become a great leader when we really encounter Jesus.

Onenness Pentacostal Cult ?

please don't mistake me, i am not oneness pentacostal or
considering to join one .. no i am not. i am clear with my ideology on
trinity and baptism. but very often this cult mess around with
Christians nowday all over the world with their new found logic on
trinity or more to be said as unitary.

Do Oneness pentacostal believe in Trinity?

answer : yes, but not the version of trinity that is introduce by
tertulian in the council of nicea when endorsing nicene creed.

They believe, Jesus( Jehovah Shua) who was the Father in the old
testament, appear as perfect Human being in the new testament and
appear again with disciple on the day of the pentecost in the form of
the Spirit whch we identify as the Holy Spirit. to them is one and the
same person when it is nothing wrong to call the Holy Spirit or the
father, and the Son to be Jesus ( Jehovah Shua =God is my salvation)

what i don't agree: They believe Jesus was never a man in the old
testament, means only in the new testament he took the form of a man.
i disagree: 1. We are Created in God's own image ( genesis 1:26)
means there is form of man image in God.. which i believe is Christ
Jesus.
2. The person that Appears to Enoch Abaraham, and
other prohphets personally.. does have an image of a man, because God
walk with them.
3. Moses on the Cleft of the Rocks, when the Glory
of the LORD just pass him.
4. the fourth person in the fire with shadrach,
meshach and abednego.

and the list just go on and on ...

Why i say the form of the man in the OLD testament to be Christ, this
is a bit bias because the scripture i quote is from the new testament

1 timothy 2:5 :
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus;

now the question is ? is the mediator God ? Yes ..
is he man ? the verse clearly state there MAN CHRIST JESUS.

certainly: some more we bear the image of Christ in us .. the Human
image was given by Christ in the creation itself. undenyable.

now Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, are they DISTINCT person ? or
one and the same ?

deuteronomy 6:4 in hebrew:
Shema yisrael, Adonai elahihu adonai yechad. ( remember not
Yacheed)
Yechad = similiar one cluster of grapes, whereas yacheed is number 1.

Disctinct ? you should know by now. everytime when they quote English
bible where God is mention to be one, bring them back to hebrew it's
Yechad not Yacheed.

My understanding of the trinity :

God is one and the same person who played Disctinctive ROLE in our
Salvation. on what we understand as Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is alone God, no one besides him, and when we get to heaven,
there is only going to be Jesus sitting on the Throne, as will lead by
Jesus to worship God.

1 corinthians 15:28 : And when all things shall be subdued unto him,
then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things
under him, that God may be all in all.

So that God will be All in All... He will be God and God that lead
to God and God that in the people. because God will be all in all. :)

anyway i am not that theologian to put everything into final theory.

i am open for people to comment ... please help me if i am wrong with
my trinity concept ?

Worhip is Listening not service

Luke 10
40But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!"
41"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, 42but only one thing is needed.[1] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."

Here in this passage we see that , Jesus requires Worship more than a service, bring to my thoughts was Sunday service. Most of the time every believer of Jesus Christ tend to eagerly Serve God than we left out something more important and what Jesus wants...

Mary Choose to ignore the service that she need to give to the LORD, yet sit in there to listen to Jesus rather than making things for God.

Many time we fails to LISTEN, i think i should repeat it again LISTEN from God rather than use our INTELLIGENT BRAIN TO THINK THE BEST WAY TO SERVE THE LORD, i repeat again because i found many of us (including me ) tend to think that we are serving God by doing the things that we think is the only way to serve God , but God is really looking for someone that will sit down quietly and listen to the voice of God .. and that is what worship is all about ..

the word worship in Hebrew means to prostate and lean to kiss the feet.. such amazing word.. Jesus is looking people who will worship him in spirit and in truth,

the word prostate wil also mean to surrender everything at the feet of Jesus, and that is what He want, total Surrender of our peanut brain that try to do something for God.

Bring me to my rememberance Caleb and Joshua, both of them return with same news, the bible records Caleb was more enthusiatic than Joshua about the promised land, but have you ever wonder why Joshua was chosen by LORD to be the prophet to lead the Children of Israel ?? Because the LORD is looking for the real listener, if caleb were to be a prophet, i wonder the wall of Jericho would come down or not .. but Joshua choose to listen that why , God use him to lead the Children of Israel to the promised land, what moses lose to joshua is that Joshua make it to promised land because Joshua obidiently listen to the LORD and Moses reluctantly obeys the LORD .. i hope it makes Sense to the reader.

Let start Listening rather than serving .. Worship is greater than serving ... because God is looking for it ...

wow so wonderful to know .. that i am actually dealing with a lot of thing in my life. most important of all i learn to set my priority in order. I set God above all, above all my life could ever dream of; like being apostle, like getting Degree, get wealth and make my parents proud. i count all this like nothing worth going after because i got the greatest wealth in my entire life could ever effort to have. i got Jesus ... and Friendship with the LORD most High is incredible relationship .. nothing is worth trading this for. but i will never lack anything you know why ..
because all these thing will start to seek me more than i seek it ... hahaha i live in the promise of GOD more than i live for myself.

please do keep me in Prayer ... i am a man just like you ( not perfect )

i Serve an Awesome God

it was awesome to know what happening to me lately, God is a wonder working God. Since the time i join Gateway church for the first time, sincerely i found God taking a direction in me to work in me again. I see Holy Spirit begining a new life in me .

Since that Day, God's presence constantly flowing in my life and it never runs out. and i am not tired of it, every new day i see new things happeing!! I am back to my closet relationship with Christ. i am back reading God's word also seeing vision. God is awesome. believe it or not... God gives me a breakthrough in my habitual sin and most sinful lifestyle.And it happens overnight !! God is awesome !! Glory to God!! and i don't live in the shadow anymore.. i walk in light and righteousness of Christ.

check it out people, i am different now!! i am New Creation now !! the old is gone i am new now .. i bet you are going to see my new life soon and experience yourself.

i pray that the anointing will not stop in me alone, i pray that it will flow from me to anyone who read this blog and also and to anyone who is surrounding me ...

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any DOUBLE-EDGED sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.( HEBREWS 4 :12)

As i often pick my hand to judge people, i realise that the scripture i use for defence also in the end up hiting me. like my previous post " Discrimination" , i thought hitting those who i think are discriminating me , but the scripture as well hit as i being the Judge is suppose to be God who should JUDGE, because i don't really know what is really going on with the other party; may be they love me but inexpressive; means they don't really know how to show their care to me ... it was me that who don't understand .. should learn it as a lesson...

I will just Let God takes HIS position, HE is the only JUDGE .. i am not ...

and all this THANKS to MY BROTHER IN CHRIST in Singapore; who made me realise my mistake .... thanks...

His divine power has given us EVERYTHING we need for LIFE and GODLINESS through our KNOWLEDGE of HIM who called us by HIS own GLORY and GOODNESS.Through these HE has given us HIs very GREAT and PRECIOUS PROMISES , so that through them you may participate in the DIVINE NATURE and ESCAPE the CORRUPTION in the WORLD caused by EVIL DESIRES.

so i'll hope that everyone who got this message will make a new commitement to believe this word is true and live according to it .. amen !!
